Hey Space Cadets, how’s everyone  doing? I hope that this post finds you well and thriving during the Age of the Great Lockdown! Things are going well here at Fort Handley, the homeschooling saga continues and now we add mowing the yard to the daily list of chores. But hey, my garden is in and maybe we’ll eat some of what I’ve grown later this summer! Continue reading

Hey Space Cadets, here is the final installment in my series of Galaxy’s Edge book reviews. Well, the first season anyway! There are more side stories to explore and explore them I will! Sorry for the dead blog lately, I’ve been super busy finishing some real-life things, dealing with health insurance and the like, but I still made time to read Continue reading

I’ve been super busy finishing some real-life things, dealing with health insurance and the like, but I still made time to read (mostly on hold), so here is my next book review! I hope Santa brings me a new Kindle, then I can get back into the swing of reading even more awesome books. Speaking of book reviews, please remember to rate anything you’ve read on Amazon and/or GoodReads when you get a chance! Anyway, I wanted to share what I just finished with you! So, let’s get to it!

Hey Space Cadets, here is the next installment in my series of book reviews. I’ve been in a reading slump, but as you can see from my last few posts I have come out of it with a bang. The kids being back in school have given me some more free time. I need to replace my Kindle though, since reading on my iPhone is a pain! Now that I’m reading again, I wanted to share what I just finished! But enough about me, onto this specific review.  Now let’s get to it!  Continue reading

Hey Space Cadets, here is the next installment in my series of book reviews. I’ve been in a reading slump, but as you can see from my last two posts I have come out of it with a bang. Though lately, life has been chaotic, I have enjoyed the reading I have fit into my schedule and wanted to share what I just read! I’ve finished writing my second novel for the year and sent it off to the editor, so I’m pretty happy. I’m hoping both of these will come out later this year. But enough about me, onto this specific review.  Now let’s get to it!

Hey Space Cadets, here is the next installment in my series of book reviews.  As I’ve mentioned earlier, I’m a member of the TRMN.  It’s a fan club for the Honor Harrington Universe by David Weber, and they do contests for their members all the time.  The last reading contest recently ended, and it was so fun that there is another one. Like before, we get points for page reads.  I’m thrilled that it prompted me to continue reading, as I’ve let writing get in the way of reading!  In addition to reading more in the last few months, this month I’ve been working on the editorial revisions for my next book.

Hey Space Cadets, I hope you’re all on the road to recovering from your Turkey Day food coma!  I’m doing well, and enjoyed time with my wife’s family!  Now that the holiday is come and gone, I’ll show my thankfulness by re-starting my healthier living goals.  I plan on building back up to my mile walks in the morning, and will add in some stretching.  I’m working on adapting my diet more holistically, instead of just dieting.  I hope it’ll mean I can keep it up, since it’ll be a lifestyle change, instead of a temporary culinary one.  We’ve started doing some meal prep as a family, so we cook in bulk on the weekends and then freeze it.  This way, even when I need quick meals, I can have healthy ones.  Finally, I plan to add yoga to the mix.  My doctor thinks it can help me regain some of my lost mobility, though I’ve tried so many things I’m a bit skeptical.  My good friends Jason Anspach and Nick Cole recommended DDP Yoga, so I’ll give that a shot.
