Hey Space Cadets, today I wanted to bring you some awesome little science fiction films. It’s been awhile since I’ve done one of these and I thought reviving it would be cool! They’re indie productions, and very much worth watching! I plan on posting another blog soon, but for today I need to work on book four of the Sleeping Legion Series. So here’s a cool film!
Author: J.R. Handley
J.R. Handley is a pseudonym for a family writing team. He is a veteran infantry sergeant with the 101st Airborne Division and the 28th Infantry Division. His family is the kind of crazy that interprets his insanity into cogent English. He writes the sci-fi while they proofread it. The sergeant is a two-time combat veteran of the late unpleasantness in Mesopotamia where he was wounded, likely doing something stupid. He started writing military science fiction as part of a therapy program suggested by his doctor, and hopes to entertain you while he attempts to excise his demons through these creative endeavors. In addition to being just another dysfunctional veteran, he is a stay-at-home parent, avid reader and all-around nerd. Luckily for him, his family joins him in his fandom nerdalitry.

Hello, Space Cadets! Today, I wanted to introduce you to another author from my WARRIOR WEEKEND INTERVIEW SERIES. Paul is a native Scotsman now settled in Northern Ireland with his wife and dog. He has had a varied career: a twenty-two-year stint in the British Army, followed by several years as a constable in the Police Service of Northern Ireland all of which have given Paul a unique outlook on life. Book Review: Galactic Outlaws (Galaxy’s Edge Book 2)
Hey Space Cadets, here is the next installment in my series of book reviews. As I’ve mentioned earlier, I’m a member of the TRMN. It’s a fan club for the Honor Harrington Universe by David Weber, and they do contests for their members all the time. There is a reading contest currently going on, and we get points for page reads. I’m thrilled as it prompted me to read more, as I’ve let writing get in the way of reading! In addition to reading more in the last few months, this month I’ve been working the editorial revisions for book four, the final book of The Sleeping Legion Series. Author Growth
Hey Space Cadets, how’re you doing today? I’m fine, working on the editing my final Sleeping Legion novel and dealing with some family medical issues that are slowing me down. Not the kind of stuff that needs airing, as it isn’t my laundry, but it’s been a slight roadblock for me. I made myself a promise when I started that writing wouldn’t get in the way of my family time and right now that has been a priority. I will still push ahead editing this, and I’m over halfway through this major revision. I think Boss Man and I are on the same page with the book now, and specifically how we link my series back into his. So, let’s push past the dreary realities of life and talk about writing! My goodfriend J.R. Handley and I strong-armed our way into writing for an anthology. We stole some pets, torched a lawn, pooped in some mailboxes — but hey — that’s all part of the author hustle. Some people write query letters; some people resort to criminal mischief.
Moving along! I’m pleased to say our first jointly-written story is coming in September, and it takes place in the Four Horsemen universe (4HU). The anthology our offering will be showcased in is titled For a Few Credits More.
For the uninitiated: the 4HU is a bodacious military science fiction series that was spawned into existence by Mark Wandrey and Chris Kennedy. Instead of trying to write a hack description of the 4HU, I’m stealing the the publisher’s blurb (Seventh Seal Press). We can add this theft to our list of offenses.
