Book Review: Sword of the Legion (Galaxy’s Edge Book 5)

Hey Space Cadets, here is the next installment in my series of book reviews. I’ve been in a reading slump, but as you can see from my last two posts I have come out of it with a bang. Though lately, life has been chaotic, I have enjoyed the reading I have fit into my schedule and wanted to share what I just read! I’ve finished writing my second novel for the year and sent it off to the editor, so I’m pretty happy. I’m hoping both of these will come out later this year. But enough about me, onto this specific review.  Now let’s get to it!

Book Review: Infliction (Mech Wars Book 4)

Hey Space Cadets, how’re you all doing?  I hope you’ve sufficiently recovered from your cabin fever and winter doldrums?  Summer seems to finally be in the air, and in the south of the US of A that means asphyxiation by pollen! I managed to survive the dreaded yellow death and lived to tell about it.  I’ve got my new glasses and can finally read again, though I fought off the doctor’s recommendation of bifocals.  Now the intemperate weather has again made sane people hide from the seasons I’m back to the writing.  Continue reading “Book Review: Infliction (Mech Wars Book 4)”

Book Review: Stigers Tigers (Chronicles of an Imperial Legionary Officer Book 1)

Hey Space Cadets, here is the next installment in my series of book reviews. I’m just coming out of a reading slump. Lately, life has been chaotic, but now I’m back in the saddle and wanted to share what I just read! Audiobooks have become my friend as I take advantage of the gorgeous summer weather. I don’t normally review books outside of the science fiction genre, though I read plenty of them as well, this one was a military fantasy novel, so I felt like it fit with my brand. And let’s be real, I love nerding out over books! Plus, I know that the author has a new science fiction story coming out, so I wanted to see what Marc was working with! Audiobook Review: Galaxy’s Edge (Galaxy’s Edge Universe)

Outer Space Header

Hey Space Cadets, I’m doing well and working on the world building for my own universe!  I’ve hired an artist for cover art, and started designing all the things that flesh out a literary world. I’ll have more information as we get deeper into the process but for now lets talk about some epic science fiction novels!  Without further ado, here is the next installment in my series of book reviews.  This time, we dive back into the worlds at the Galaxy’s Edge! My “To Be Read” List

Hey Space Cadets, how are you doing?  I’m doing well; reading, writing, and doing the dreaded adulting. I’m busy working on the final editing for my super-secret project, so I’m keeping this post short and sweet!  I’ve listed several individual books that are next on my list, and the series which I’ll be slogging my way through.  Thought it might be fun to share, and invite everyone to read and review these books with me!  Join the conversation on all things in the Sci-F Nerdom!

Book Review: Attack of Shadows

kill-team-site-header-v1

Hey Space Cadets, here is the next installment in my series of book reviews.  As I’ve mentioned earlier, I’m a member of the TRMN.  It’s a fan club for the Honor Harrington Universe by David Weber, and they do contests for their members all the time.  The last reading contest recently ended, and it was so fun that there is another one. Like before, we get points for page reads.  I’m thrilled that it prompted me to continue reading, as I’ve let writing get in the way of reading!  In addition to reading more in the last few months, this month I’ve been working on the editorial revisions for my next book.

Book Review: Starship Troopers

Hey Space Cadets, here is the next installment in my series of book reviews. As I write this, I’m trying not to go crazy from the emotional roller coaster that ending my series has become. It’s a bittersweet day, as I close the chapter on one series and move on to the next. Lance Scipio and I have had a good run, but now I’ve got to let him go. It’s harder than I thought, we’ve spent every waking moment together for the last two years.  But at least I have new projects to distract me! In addition to finishing the Sleeping Legion, I had an anthology that I’m in published a month ago.  I hope everyone enjoys it too, which you can still buy for 99c here! Finally, I recently hit “the end” on my super-duper secret project, sent it off to the editor, and now it’s back!  So yesterday I began the editing process, which I hope to finish this month. Ideally it’ll be off with the publisher before the month is over. I’ll let you know more when I can, but that’s all I can say for now. I’ll be working on my next project, but more about that in the days to come.

Book Review: Tin Man

Hey Space Cadets, here is the next installment in my book review series. This one is a little different, as it’s a review of a short story that in the Galaxy’s Edge Universe I love. Reading this was my reward to myself for finishing the Super-Duper-Secret novel I was writing this month. Soon I’ll post the top books on my TBR list, in case you want to read along and be able to comment on my review of those books! I’ve also finished Starship Troopers, and I’ll be posting that soon as well!  I’ll plan on being more active on my blog in the new year with some exciting news, so stay tuned. Book Review: Meltdown (Mech Wars Book 3)

Hey Space Cadets, how’re you all doing?  I hope you’ve sufficiently recovered from your turkey comma, and are back at it?  Survived the dreaded Black Friday, without loss of life or limb?  I ate the turkey, avoided the shopping, and visited with my in-laws.  Now that the holidays are over, I’m back to the writing.  I should have an announcement on the release of my fourth and final novel in The Sleeping Legion Series soon.  I’m working on that new, super-duper secret project and having a blast.  The instant I can share more, I will!  I’ve got a short story in The The Expanding Universe 3 Anthology that’s coming out on the 15th of December. If you want tons of fun, for the low price of 99c, then pre-order it!  It’s a collection of some pretty amazing stories. Continue reading “Book Review: Meltdown (Mech Wars Book 3)”

Guest Book Review: Hyperion

Hey Space Cadets, today I have the privilege of allowing a friend and fellow author share his thoughts on a book.  I’ve extended this invitation before to anyone who wants to post a book review; I’ll happily publish your thoughts.  Because of this review, I’ve added this book to my TBR (To Be Read) List and can’t wait to dig into it. Lately I’ve been reading awesome scifi, and working on my super-duper top-secret project.  I can’t wait to tell you about, but until then let’s get to author Matt Herron.
