Audiobook Review: Galaxy’s Edge (Galaxy’s Edge Universe)

Outer Space Header

Hey Space Cadets, I’m doing well and working on the world building for my own universe!  I’ve hired an artist for cover art, and started designing all the things that flesh out a literary world. I’ll have more information as we get deeper into the process but for now lets talk about some epic science fiction novels!  Without further ado, here is the next installment in my series of book reviews.  This time, we dive back into the worlds at the Galaxy’s Edge! WARRIOR WEEKEND: James S. Aaron

JR Handley

Hello Space Cadets! Today, I wanted to introduce you to another author from my Warrior Weekend Interview Series, James S. Aaron. He’s the author of The Sentience Wars series, which takes place in M.D. Cooper’s Aeon 14 universe. With three books published, the five-book series will take readers from 2900 to 3200, as sentient AI break free of humanity. A native of Oregon, Aaron joined the U.S. Army in 1993 at the tender age of seventeen and stuck around until 2005, serving as both enlisted and officer. Aaron is a member of the Science Fiction Writers of America and currently works in law enforcement. Aside from the normal stuff writers do, he also plays with solar power and aquaponics, protects his seventeen chickens from hawks and his poop gobbling Corgi, and curses the deer who chow on his garden.

Hey Space Cadets, how’s everyone doing today?  I’m doing amazing… The Sleeping Legion series is complete.  I am almost finished with my super-duper secret project is and outlining the next one. I also have a new podcast that started this month, but enough about me!  Let’s get right to the point of my latest blog posting, another interview!  This week it is another ‘SciFy Shenanigans’ interview. This is my series that only serves to talk with other authors of science fiction!  Here goes nothing!

Movie Review: The Osiris Child

The Osiris Child

Hey Space Cadets, here is the second installment in a new series of science fiction movie reviews. Being snowed in early January gave me time to watch new movies, eat some popcorn and just enjoy my family. I’m still writing, and I’ll have more news on that soon. I’ve started recording my new Sci-Fi Shenanigans Podcast with my friend Chris Winder, and we’re already on episode six! In addition to more family time, I’ve fought off the winter blues by writing more and geeking out over the Heavy Falcon launch.  In case you missed it, The Sleeping Legion Series has wrapped up and you can buy it on Amazon. The final audio-book for Insurgency: Spartika is in the works, and then you can enjoy every one of my stories in audio-book, paperback, or eBook! Seriously people, we’re talking the first week of March!

My “To Be Read” List

Hey Space Cadets, how are you doing?  I’m doing well; reading, writing, and doing the dreaded adulting. I’m busy working on the final editing for my super-secret project, so I’m keeping this post short and sweet!  I’ve listed several individual books that are next on my list, and the series which I’ll be slogging my way through.  Thought it might be fun to share, and invite everyone to read and review these books with me!  Join the conversation on all things in the Sci-F Nerdom!

SciFy Shenanigans: Christopher G. Nuttall

Hey Space Cadets, how’s everyone doing today?  I’m doing fantastic, writing and preparing for the holidays.  Yeah, that pesky little twerp in a diaper is floating around spreading love and crap, so us menfolk need to gird our loins, harden our hearts and prepare for the end times!  Okay, jokes aside I can’t cheat this year.  My go to gift, chocolate, is a no go with my wife’s new dietary restrictions so I have to actually think about a gift for her.  And do it on a budget, since Amazon forgot to back my truck full of  money up to my front door.  All jokes aside, life is good and I can’t wait to finish this novel and write the next dozen.  Until then, let’s talk to my special guest. Movie Review: HALO 4: Forward Unto Dawn

Hey Space Cadets, here is the first installment in a new series of science fiction movie reviews. Being snowed in early January gave me time to watch new movies, eat some popcorn and just enjoy my family. I’m still writing, and I’ll have more news on that soon. I’ve started recording my new Sci-Fi Shenanigans Podcast with my friend Chris Winder, and episode two recently went live. In addition to more family time, I’ve fought off the cabin fever by writing more and shoveled snow.  In case you missed it, The Sleeping Legion Series has wrapped up and you can buy it on Amazon. The final audio book for Insurgency: Spartika is in the works, and then you can enjoy every one of my stories in audio book, paperback, or eBook!

Book Review: Attack of Shadows

kill-team-site-header-v1

Hey Space Cadets, here is the next installment in my series of book reviews.  As I’ve mentioned earlier, I’m a member of the TRMN.  It’s a fan club for the Honor Harrington Universe by David Weber, and they do contests for their members all the time.  The last reading contest recently ended, and it was so fun that there is another one. Like before, we get points for page reads.  I’m thrilled that it prompted me to continue reading, as I’ve let writing get in the way of reading!  In addition to reading more in the last few months, this month I’ve been working on the editorial revisions for my next book.

Book Review: Starship Troopers

Hey Space Cadets, here is the next installment in my series of book reviews. As I write this, I’m trying not to go crazy from the emotional roller coaster that ending my series has become. It’s a bittersweet day, as I close the chapter on one series and move on to the next. Lance Scipio and I have had a good run, but now I’ve got to let him go. It’s harder than I thought, we’ve spent every waking moment together for the last two years.  But at least I have new projects to distract me! In addition to finishing the Sleeping Legion, I had an anthology that I’m in published a month ago.  I hope everyone enjoys it too, which you can still buy for 99c here! Finally, I recently hit “the end” on my super-duper secret project, sent it off to the editor, and now it’s back!  So yesterday I began the editing process, which I hope to finish this month. Ideally it’ll be off with the publisher before the month is over. I’ll let you know more when I can, but that’s all I can say for now. I’ll be working on my next project, but more about that in the days to come.

Indie SciFy Video #16

Outer Space Header

Hey Space Cadets, today I wanted to bring you some awesome little science fiction films.  It’s been awhile since I’ve done one of these and I thought reviving it would be cool!  They’re indie productions, and very much worth watching!  I plan on posting another blog soon, but for today I need to work on getting my word counts up!  If you haven’t read the Sleeping Legion Series you should check it out! Now here’s a cool film!
