Book Review: Attack of Shadows

kill-team-site-header-v1

Hey Space Cadets, here is the next installment in my series of book reviews.  As I’ve mentioned earlier, I’m a member of the TRMN.  It’s a fan club for the Honor Harrington Universe by David Weber, and they do contests for their members all the time.  The last reading contest recently ended, and it was so fun that there is another one. Like before, we get points for page reads.  I’m thrilled that it prompted me to continue reading, as I’ve let writing get in the way of reading!  In addition to reading more in the last few months, this month I’ve been working on the editorial revisions for my next book.

Book Review: Tin Man

Hey Space Cadets, here is the next installment in my book review series. This one is a little different, as it’s a review of a short story that in the Galaxy’s Edge Universe I love. Reading this was my reward to myself for finishing the Super-Duper-Secret novel I was writing this month. Soon I’ll post the top books on my TBR list, in case you want to read along and be able to comment on my review of those books! I’ve also finished Starship Troopers, and I’ll be posting that soon as well!  I’ll plan on being more active on my blog in the new year with some exciting news, so stay tuned. Advanced Warning – Tomorrow for Cyber Monday!

Hey Space Cadets, I hope you’re all on the road to recovering from your Turkey Day food coma!  I’m doing well, and enjoyed time with my wife’s family!  Now that the holiday is come and gone, I’ll show my thankfulness by re-starting my healthier living goals.  I plan on building back up to my mile walks in the morning, and will add in some stretching.  I’m working on adapting my diet more holistically, instead of just dieting.  I hope it’ll mean I can keep it up, since it’ll be a lifestyle change, instead of a temporary culinary one.  We’ve started doing some meal prep as a family, so we cook in bulk on the weekends and then freeze it.  This way, even when I need quick meals, I can have healthy ones.  Finally, I plan to add yoga to the mix.  My doctor thinks it can help me regain some of my lost mobility, though I’ve tried so many things I’m a bit skeptical.  My good friends Jason Anspach and Nick Cole recommended DDP Yoga, so I’ll give that a shot. CREATIVE WRITING CAREERS

Outer Space Header

Hey Space Cadets, how’s everyone doing?  I’m doing well, busy editing and wrapping up some annoying work with my medical insurance. Hopefully, this will be the last time I talk about the editing phase book four. I’ve just finished editing book four of The Sleeping Legion Series. I’ve only got to wrap-up the last half of the TEU3 Anthology, and then I start writing my next project.  Ending a series is tougher than I thought; I’ve found I miss the characters as I work on the next project.  Can’t wait to fall in love with the next motley crew I assemble and unleash upon the galaxy! I’m very excited about these new stories, and can’t wait for you to be able to read them. Continue reading “CREATIVE WRITING CAREERS”

Book Four Updates

JR HandleyHey Space Cadets, how’re ya doing on this fine August day?  I just wanted to give you a quick update on where we are with book four.  Right now Boss Man and I are still batting around ideas for a title for the book, since Maternal Vengeance wasn’t the best fit.  I can promise you that as soon as we know, you will!  We do know that the cover won’t change since we want a continuous look across all of them.  I think that the editing and rewriting for this book will take longer than the others, but it’ll be a good learning experience for me. I have to worry about tying up all the plot threads that I strung along, and linking the series back into the final Continue reading “Book Four Updates”
