Book Four Updates

JR HandleyHey Space Cadets, how’re ya doing on this fine August day?  I just wanted to give you a quick update on where we are with book four.  Right now Boss Man and I are still batting around ideas for a title for the book, since Maternal Vengeance wasn’t the best fit.  I can promise you that as soon as we know, you will!  We do know that the cover won’t change since we want a continuous look across all of them.  I think that the editing and rewriting for this book will take longer than the others, but it’ll be a good learning experience for me. I have to worry about tying up all the plot threads that I strung along, and linking the series back into the final book in Boss Man’s sixth and final Human Legion novel due out later this year.  Because I’m linking back to another author’s book, it’s definitely more of a collaborative process than the previous books.

So, what do you do while waiting for the thrilling conclusion to The Sleeping Legion Series?  How about I recommend a few books to you!

Powered (The Mech Wars Book 1)

by Scott Bartlett

$2.99 USD

I recently “read” this book, well I listened to the audiobook, and I loved it!  I just posed a book review for the first book on my blogLegionnaire (Galaxies Edge Book 1), so check it out!

LegonnaireLegionnaire (Galaxies Edge Book 1)

by Jason Anspach & Nick Cole

$2.99 USD

This book is a fun little romp through a universe far far away, in a Star-Wars-Not-Star-Wars Galaxy full of epic amounts of Pew Pew!  It’s fueled by Nick’s coffee addiction, Jason’s encyclopedic knowledge of “the force,” combined with gratuitous levels of nail biting fun!

Empire of Bones

Empire of Bones (Book 1 of The Empire of Bones Saga)

by Terry Mixon

This is one of the first series I found when I first bought my Kindle, and I’m totally hooked on it.  Full disclosure, I’m a total fanboy of Terry Mixon, but I love this series.  It’s space opera and epic in scope!  Want to read about larger-than-life space battles and explore a post-Terran galaxy?  Then check out this excellent series!  And if you like it enough to write a book review, I would love to let you, guest, post

Until next time, stay frosty and don’t forget to keep your powder dry!

  1. Argh. Coming up with titles is HARD. So is “choreographing” plot lines across separate series. Wishing you luck with both.

‘It’s fueled by Nick’s coffee addiction, Jason’s encyclopedic knowledge of “the force,”[…]’ I freely admit that part of my brain insists I’m reading that scrambled: ‘Shouldn’t that be Jason’s coffee addiction and…? Oh, never mind — not my people.’ 🙂
