Lance Scipio’s Story Continues

The Sleeping Legion

Hey Space Cadets, I just wanted to pass some information to you.  I thought you might want to know how Lance’s story ends!  You can find it in Tim C. Taylor’s new books that are out now, Battle of Earth Part 1:  and Battle of Earth Part 2: Restart.  I definitely wanted to know – so I have recently bought them. Come along on the journey with me!

2739 A.D. Six centuries ago, a million children were given up as slaves to Earth’s new alien overlords. Now their descendants have fought their way back home and found Earth in the grip of a savage new alien occupation. This is the Human Legion’s final battle: the Battle of Earth.

It doesn’t matter if this is your first Legion novel. Start here, because if the Earth is to be liberated, and the statues of the alien Supreme Commander Tawfiq are to be toppled to the ground, it is here that the Legion most needs your support.

In ‘Endgame’, the first of the two-part conclusion to the story of the Human Legion, the Legion walks into the trap they know awaits them in the heavily fortified Solar System. But in the augmented mind of General Arun McEwan, they have the finest strategist in the galaxy. Can he devise a counter-trap to snare the alien defenders? But with McEwan dying and the Legion riddled with Tawfiq’s spies, the Legion’s campaign seems doomed to end in disaster.

Allies, enemies, or both? The opening phases of the Battle of Earth have revealed hidden factions in the powerplay swirling around the Solar System. In ‘Restart’, the finale of the two-part conclusion to the Human Legion series, some dare to dream of a liberated Earth and ask the question: what next? But for the missing General Arun McEwan, the only objective that matters is to get back into the fight to unseat Tawfiq, the alien supreme commander. And with Tawfiq marshaling new forces to unleash a 10,000-year war upon the entire galaxy, victory is slipping from the Legion’s grasp.

The Legion’s campaign of liberation ends here… one way or another.

Bear witness to its conclusion in The Battle of Earth Part 2: Restart.

Movie Review: HALO 4: Forward Unto Dawn

Standard

Hey Space Cadets, here is the first installment in a new series of science fiction movie reviews. Being snowed in early January gave me time to watch new movies, eat some popcorn and just enjoy my family. I’m still writing, and I’ll have more news on that soon. I’ve started recording my new Sci-Fi Shenanigans Podcast with my friend Chris Winder, and episode two recently went live. In addition to more family time, I’ve fought off the cabin fever by writing more and shoveled snow.  In case you missed it, The Sleeping Legion Series has wrapped up and you can buy it on Amazon. The final audio book for Insurgency: Spartika is in the works, and then you can enjoy every one of my stories in audio book, paperback, or eBook!

Hello Space Cadets! I just wanted to give you an update on where we are in the process for Book 4. First, the title has been decided!!  We chose Insurgency: Spartika for the official name, so I can stop calling it “Book 4!”  And to make things better, it looks like the final book in The Sleeping Legion will be coming out this month! But what sort of reveal would this be if I didn’t give you peek at the new cover? Continue reading

Advanced Warning – Tomorrow for Cyber Monday!

Hey Space Cadets, I hope you’re all on the road to recovering from your Turkey Day food coma!  I’m doing well, and enjoyed time with my wife’s family!  Now that the holiday is come and gone, I’ll show my thankfulness by re-starting my healthier living goals.  I plan on building back up to my mile walks in the morning, and will add in some stretching.  I’m working on adapting my diet more holistically, instead of just dieting.  I hope it’ll mean I can keep it up, since it’ll be a lifestyle change, instead of a temporary culinary one.  We’ve started doing some meal prep as a family, so we cook in bulk on the weekends and then freeze it.  This way, even when I need quick meals, I can have healthy ones.  Finally, I plan to add yoga to the mix.  My doctor thinks it can help me regain some of my lost mobility, though I’ve tried so many things I’m a bit skeptical.  My good friends Jason Anspach and Nick Cole recommended DDP Yoga, so I’ll give that a shot.
