Hey Space Cadets, how are you doing? I’m doing amazing and wanted to post another blog updating you on my comings and goings. I’m cranking away on my writing and hope to be able to share more with you soon. The co-author and I are playing with methods of kicking our speed up a notch and I’m getting back into the swing of exercising again.
Before I start talking about books I wanted to share this film I discovered from the Galaxy’s Edge Fan Club. Check it out, you won’t be sorry.
On to books – I’ve mentioned before that I am writing a book in the Galaxy’s Edge Universe, so it’s time to reveal more! This novel is a collection of standalone stories about brave warriors who earned the highest medal for bravery available to a Legionnaire, The Order of the Centurion. The first book out in this series is now available, so check it out!! And if you like it, leave a review and tell your friends. Mine will follow this novel, though I don’t have an exact date yet.
The next book I’d like to recommend is an anthology put together by Craig Martelle, a former Marine and all-around stand-up guy. I was in his TEU3 Anthology, so I can vouch for the quality of the work he puts out. I’m sold on this anthology series, I plan on reading and reviewing this anthology on my blog and on the podcast. Stay tuned for that, but in the meantime give this collection a chance. For the amount of content, you can’t beat the price.
I would also like to recommend Salvage Title by Kevin Steverson. He’s an Army veteran turned wordsmith, who gave up his crew cut for a beard and a full belly. My kind of people! I’m going to give this series a chance on that basis alone, though I haven’t read any of this yet. He’s being published by Chris Kennedy Publishing, the publisher of the Four Horsemen Universe… so I would guess the quality is on point! Anyway, give it a shot and see what you think. If you decide to read it, post your comments below!
Yet another book by an Army veteran, author J.F. Holmes! Sensing a theme? What can I say, sending out too many recommendations by former Marines in my last newsletter hurt my soul! The premise of this series was interesting, though this is another one that I haven’t read. I own the first book, and it’s one of the many in my massive digital TBR collection. Like before, when I read this I will post a review. If you decide to read it, do the same! GoodReads and Amazon would love to hear from you, so mosey on over.
German Army veteran Marko Kloos also has a series I’d love to recommend. This amazing series, Terms of Enlistment, follows a soldier as he enlisted into the service for a better life and ends up fighting rebels and terrorists. At least until aliens show up and unify humanity against the threat. Well, maybe not unify so much as bring a cessation to hostilities? Anyway, the series is AWESOME and you should check it out.
And finally, a series by an Army veteran, Richard Fox. He served in Iraq around the same time I did, but more importantly, he tells one heck of a fun story! I’ve read the first few books in the Ember War Saga and can’t wait to get back into this universe. There’s even an upcoming graphic novel in this universe. Seriously, check this out and all of the spin-off series!
I hope these books keep you entertained for a few hours! If you read them and enjoy the time spent in their pages, comment below! And don’t forget to review the books on Amazon and GoodReads! Oh, and tell a friend about them!!
Until next time, stay frosty and don’t forget to keep your powder dry!

Thank you for featuring the Expanding Universe. I’m honored to be a part. And thanks for the other recommendations. I’m checking them out. Just discovered Galaxy’s Edge and I’m hard pressed to choose a book. Wow. Where do you start?

Happy to do it, the first three were so much fun I had to shout out the next one!
With Galaxy’s Edge, I would start with the main story line. It’s Legionnaire, and then the follow on books. You could also read Tin Man… but it will make your eyes water. That is a free short story available from their Newsletter.

I read from yourprevious blog posts that you’ve listened to the galaxys edge series on audible. I’ve also listened to them (1-2, 3-4, 5-6) as audible combined them into “parts”. Any word on when they will will release part IV (7-8), If at all?
